Know why the number moved before the board asks
Senior FP&A for PE-backed companies on NetSuite. I model your data once, so every monthly package ties to the general ledger and every sponsor question gets a sourced answer the same day. Your controller keeps the close.

How a month runs
Your controller closes the books. Everything after the close runs off the warehouse, and the controller sees every number before it leaves. Days are business days after month-end.
| Business day | What happens | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1–3 | Books close in NetSuite.Your close, your accounting policy, your audit. Nothing changes there. | Your controller |
| Day 3 | The warehouse refreshes and tie-outs run.Statements agree to the trial balance, subledgers to their control accounts, cash to the bank. | Automatic |
| Day 4 | Variances get explained.Every material line gets written commentary, reviewed by me and shared with your controller. | Ryan |
| Day 5 | The lender and board package goes out.Statements, bridge, 13-week cash, covenant compliance and forecast, in Excel and PDF. | Ryan, to the CFO |
| Any day | Your sponsor asks a question. The answer comes back the same day, with the numbers and sources behind it. | Ryan |

The questions sponsors actually ask
Three questions from the demo company's operating partner and CFO, answered from the same warehouse that produces the package.
How much can we prepay on the term loan in Q4 without getting within 0.5x of the leverage covenant?
Up to $8.75M on December 15. Liquidity (cash plus revolver availability) binds first, at the $7.5M floor; leverage keeps 1.25x of headroom at the tightest test through 2027 (base-case forecast).
Exhibit A · Liquidity and covenants
Which customers drove the gross margin decline since June?
Two project customers. Corliss Health System and Brandywine Logistics Park explain all of the drop from 32.4% in June to 31.3% in September.
Exhibit B · Service Lines tab
What does 13-week cash look like if DSO slips five days?
$787K of receipts move out of the window. Week-13 cash lands at $5.6M against $6.4M in the base case, still above the $4.0M operating cash floor.

One senior person, working with you directly
An FP&A director costs $200K to $250K a year and takes months to hire. This fills that seat without the search, built on data infrastructure instead of spreadsheets.
I'm a CPA with about ten years in finance, split between FP&A and data engineering. Most recently I've led FP&A inside a PE-backed company, where the reporting demands are high and the finance team is small.
The pattern I kept seeing: a strong controller, clean books in the ERP, and no one with the time or tools to turn them into decisions. With the right data setup, one senior person can do that job.

Questions
If yours isn't here, ask it on the walkthrough
What exactly do you do?
I act as your FP&A function. I connect to NetSuite and, where available, your bank and CRM, build a reporting warehouse, and then own the monthly package, board deck, rolling forecast, cash planning and ad hoc analysis.
Do you replace my controller?
No. Your controller keeps the close, the audit and accounting policy, and sees every number before it goes out. I start where the close ends and turn the books into forecasts, analysis and board reporting.
How is this different from a fractional CFO?
A fractional CFO usually advises and works in spreadsheets. I build the data infrastructure underneath your reporting, so the work is automated, repeatable and fast, and then I run it with you every month.
How long until the first package?
Typically about six weeks: two weeks to connect and model your data, then a few weeks to build the package and forecast with you. After that, it goes out on business day 5 every month.
What does it cost?
A one-time setup fee based on the number of data sources, then a fixed monthly fee. All in, it's less than a single FP&A hire. Founding clients get a reduced rate.
What if we're not on NetSuite?
NetSuite is where I'm fastest, but the approach works with any ERP that allows data access. Ask and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.

We'll look at how this package would be built on your NetSuite data and what it takes to get there. A short email with your size and your sponsor's reporting asks is plenty.
